AlexJo Stys (she/her) is an east coast educator & choreographer residing in New Jersey. AJ received her BA in Dance and Psychology from Muhlenberg College and her MA in Art Administration from Southern Utah University. After a few years hiatus to finish grad school and start a family, she is coming home to Gateway to the Arts. Alongside GTA, she has had the pleasure of creating several projects throughout her years with NJCU, Leon Dance Arts, Ballet Forte, Muhlenberg College, KK Dancing Dreams, and BDC. Favorite regional choreographic credits include Gilbert and Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore, Jesus Christ Superstar, Crazy for You, Little Shop of Horrors, Side Show, Sister Act, In the Heights, Next to Normal, Shrek, The Addams Family, My Favorite Year, Hello Dolly! and Urinetown. She is the President of The Natale Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that began in memory of her father, with a purpose to encourage youth in the local community to achieve excellence in the areas of sports, music and the arts.
