Brielle Castaldi, a native of Flanders, New Jersey, is currently the Pre-K Dance Teacher at Conerly Road Elementary School, entering her second year of teaching for the 2026–2027 school year. She holds a Master’s degree in Dance Education from Rutgers University and a Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) in K–12 Dance.
Brielle completed her full-time clinical student teaching internship at West Orange High School’s Dance Program under the mentorship of Melissa Sande. She received her BFA in Dance from Montclair State University in Fall 2022, where she trained in O’Donnell, Limón, and Horton modern dance techniques, as well as Ballet, West African, Jazz, and Doug Varone-inspired classes taught by former Varone company member Julia Burrer. During her three and a half years at Montclair State, Brielle performed works by Stefanie Batten Bland, Larry Keigwin, Christian von Howard, Kathleen Kelley, and Jessie DiMauro.
Along with teaching dance at local studios throughout college and post-graduation, Brielle completed her Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) certification in 2021 and Pure Barre certification in 2023. Before college, she was accepted into Morris County Vocational School’s Dance Program and completed the dual enrollment program through County College of Morris.
Brielle’s mission is to integrate dance curriculum into more public schools and to share her knowledge and passion for dance with the next generation, making dance accessible and equitable for all.
